Municipal/Residential Services
Hesstech currently processes residential materials for the residents of Middlesex County, New Jersey. Why does Hesstech only process materials for Middlesex County? The answer is simple.  Most other county or state programs do not restrict (or enforce) a policy prohibiting the export of unprocessed materials. Hesstech will not participate or bid on any collection program that is not structured to protect the environment and protect the residents from exposure to risks of data being recovered from hard drives not properly erased. Most municipal collection RFPs either do not address these issues sufficiently or are not structured to require that documentation is provided by the processor to validate that all data is removed prior to reuse/resale and all materials are truly recycled by safe and environmentally sound downstream processors.

Middlesex is one of the few New Jersey counties operating a permanent drop-off site for broken or outdated consumer electronic items that address the concerns mentioned above. It is located at the office of Hesstech, LLC, 45 Executive Avenue, Edison, NJ 732-287-2442.
