Equipment Remarketing
Unlike many companies who sell to just anyone, Hesstech carefully selects buyers who have established legitimate reuse markets and can prove equipment and components are not merely being shipped to facilities where some parts are extracted and improper disposal or unsafe working conditions exist. Credible buyers offer more stability, better prices, and reduce the risk of disposal liabilities.
- Every piece processed for resale is assigned a unique "Hesstech Inventory Barcode” linked to the unit serial number and original owner.
- Resale documentation is maintained in a secure environment assuring transaction records can be reclaimed at any time.
- Resale revenues are applied to offset any fees, and credit balances are refunded to the client.
Liquidation Services
Auctions and liquidation events are hosted by a myriad of organizations and are historically one of the most popular ways of cleaning out unwanted and/or obsolete equipment. Although many organizations have been in this business for many years and have expertise hosting auctions and selling equipment, few sufficiently address what to do with materials no one wants to buy. All too often this older or obsolete equipment is simply mixed with better equipment as a way to be sure it is sold. At best, this is simply passing the buck, putting the original owner at risk that the equipment will end up improperly processed for scrap recovery or disposed of illegally. Even if records of ownership transfer are provided, a liability may still exist if documents are not properly executed and/or the buyer cannot be located in the event of a disposal liability case. Further, it devalues the lot sold and is simply not right to use as a means to dispose of unwanted equipment.
Questions you should ask before your next auction event.
- How are obsolete or unsalable items handled?
- How is sensitive or confidential information removed?
- Will you know who purchased the equipment and what they intend to do with it?
- Can you review and validate the sale price for each unit sold?
- What is done to assure the most qualified people are advised of the auction event?
- How are buyers qualified to purchase equipment?
Hesstech has developed liquidation/auction programs designed to foster legitimate reuse and environmentally sound recycling and disposal for unsalable equipment. Auction services are transparent and customers are provided detailed information about every item sold, including buyer information, sale price and custody transfer documentation. All buyers are prequalified as credible entities and must be able to show they are in the business of handling the equipment they purchase. Hesstech can host the auction from its warehouse facilities or from the client site. Most auctions are web-based, using Hesstech's proprietary auction system which is recognized for its flexibility, efficiency, and ease-of-use. Larger auctions can be web-based in conjunction with a live event. Hesstech recycles any unwanted equipment and provides buyers with the option to return equipment at reduced fees when they have no further use for the equipment.
Our goal is to provide a closed loop, total solution for our customers. It won't cost you anything to let us present you with options to bundle state-of-the-art auction services with comprehensive end-of-life solutions.
